Managed Hosting / Overview
Ultraspeed have three distinct managed hosting products, called Simple, Infrastructure, and Adapt, each calibrated according to individual client's needs.
Every client is taken care of by a highly experienced Ultraspeed 3rd Line Systems Engineer responsible for designing their environment. The client ultimately signs-off on the design so they can be sure of getting the right managed hosting solution for their needs.
Ultraspeed Simple
Simple is for clients who want the benefits of Ultraspeed's Managed Cloud platform but only require a few virtual servers. With Simple, clients have their own virtual servers and are guaranteed resources from a centralised pool of hardware, as well as having access to Ultraspeed's advanced managed hosting services - such as a Managed Firewall and Managed Load Balancing.
Ultraspeed Infrastructure
For clients with more complex hosting requirements, Infrastructure is built on the concept of housing virtual servers on their own dedicated physical server. Clients using Infrastructure have more options when it comes to configuring how CPU and RAM resources are assigned to individual dedicated servers, and can match their virtual servers to the appropriate dedicated physical server within their environment for improved capacity and performance.
Ultraspeed servers
- 15-minute hardware replacement guarantee.
- Top-end virtualisation software (VMWare).
- Secure data storage on Ultraspeed's enterprise SANs, rather than the server.
- High speed data transfer, using extremely fast Fibre Channel hard drives.
- Redundant data storage chunks across many disks (minimum equivalent to RAID-5).
- Nightly snapshots for Disaster Recovery purposes, with 32 days worth of records.
- Thorough weekly offsite backups to Ultraspeed's Amsterdam data centre. (This can be upgraded on request.)
