Technology / Network
Ultraspeed's network has been purpose-built, which is rare even in the Managed Hosting industry. Ultraspeed's managed cloud network has been designed by Ultraspeed Systems Engineers to run quickly, be fully redundant, and be scalable enough to meet every client's needs.
connectivity
Multiple borders and internal routers from multiple vendors give more network connectivity options to play with, and make it possible to guarantee 100% uptime to every Ultraspeed client.
Ultraspeed uses a number of network providers such as Interoute, Telia and Cogent, who peer extensively via the LINX (London Internet Exchange) and privately with other key networks in the UK and Europe.
redundancy
Racks are deployed with multiple network switches; these switches connect to multiple internal routers so that the system will still run in the event of a port or cable failure. Physical servers are connected back into switches in each rack via multiple gigabit Ethernet connections. The switches are an example of Ultraspeed's extensive redundancy measures.
The Ultraspeed Managed Cloud network is constantly monitored and managed internally by a team of experienced Systems Engineers to ensure that overall and individual link saturation does not consistently peak over the 60% utilisation mark. This means that there is always capacity to play with in case of unexpected demand.
